Some employers require prospective candidates to perform certain job tasks and different types of jobs and work settings may require different types of testing. As a result, our pre-employment physicals typically include a health history, tests for vision and hearing and assessments of a job candidate's physical ability to push, pull, lift, and carry.
Employers may require pre-employment physicals for a variety of reasons including determining whether an applicant can safely carry out the functions of the job, limiting the employer's exposure to workplace injury claims, and preventing discrimination in the hiring process.
